Organic Agri-Business Value Chain

The organic agri-business value chain has just about started to emerge in some concrete form. As per present stakeholders, it is broadly divided into three main functional categories:

Pre-Production and Production
Processing, Logistics and Supply Chain
Value Addition and Marketing

The many peculiarities associated with organic value chain, the overlap between different functional areas is quite inevitable. As on today, in the long value chain, we have seen players starting from anywhere. Some of them get involved in only few activities and some of have much larger portfolio of activities, sometimes even spreading over the entire value chain.
